Melinda Pettigrew, Ph.D., the Anna M.R. Lauder Professor of Epidemiology, researches the growing public health threat posed by antibiotic resistance. She uses microbiology and infectious disease epidemiology to identify factors that influence whether pathobionts colonize or cause diseases such as pneumonia.
